Under its flagship CSR initiative through SEWA-THDC, THDC India Limited inaugurated “Mission Shakti-2026” on 21.05.2026 at the 1320 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Project for 30 underprivileged girl students (aged 10–12 years) from nearby villages.
This 25-day non-residential workshop, being organized from 21.05.2026 to 14.06.2026 in association with Republic Federation Society, has been thoughtfully designed to promote the holistic development of girl children through training in personality development, communication skills, self-defense, confidence building, hygiene & sanitation, art & craft, physical education, and basic academics.
On the inaugural day, the participating students were provided with comprehensive kits containing trolley bags, school bags, tracksuits, sportswear, stationery, yoga kits, water bottles, and other essential items to support them throughout the program and beyond.
Envisioned under the leadership of CMD, THDCIL, Shri Sipan Kumar Garg, the initiative reflects THDCIL’s steadfast commitment to women empowerment, education, and inclusive community development.
The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Kumar Sharad, Executive Director (Project), along with Shri Binod Kumar Sahoo, Chief General Manager & Project Head. Shri Harsh Kumar Jindal, GM (Social & Environment), Shri Sandeep Bhatnagar, GM (Finance), along with Smt. Binita Sharad and Smt. Rita Sahoo from Manjari Ladies Club, were also present on the occasion.
Extending its support to the initiative, Manjari Ladies Club is also contributing to the welfare and awareness of the students through activities such as dental hygiene camps, menstrual health sensitization sessions, and other developmental engagements.
Parents expressed heartfelt appreciation to THDCIL for undertaking such a meaningful initiative dedicated to the empowerment and development of their girl children.
Senior officials of THDCIL, members of Manjari Ladies Club, students, and parents were also present on the occasion.
