On 13th February 2026, HoP, APP Unit, Sh. P. S. Rawat along with AGM (Infrastructure Department), Sh. S. S. Negi and DGM (EM & Planning), Sh. Ganesh Mishra, paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Chowna Mein, at his residence in Namsai. During the interaction, HoP, APP Unit expressed sincere gratitude to Shri Mein for the Government’s continued cooperation and support extended to the 1200 MW Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project. The Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister appreciated and congratulated the THDCIL team for the commendable progress achieved thus far. He observed that the Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project holds considerable significance for Arunachal Pradesh, as it is poised to benefit a large section of the State and contribute meaningfully to its socio-economic development.
As a token of respect and remembrance, HoP, APP Unit also presented Shri Mein with a model of THDCIL’s flagship project, the iconic Tehri Dam, symbolizing the organization’s legacy and contribution to nation-building through landmark hydro power developments. Shri Mein further assured THDCIL of his full support in addressing the challenges being faced by the project, so that the project may continue to move forward promptly.
The meeting concluded on a positive and encouraging note, with both sides reiterating their commitment to work closely together for the successful execution of the project, contributing towards the development of the region and in the service of the Nation.
