Public Sector Day 2026 was commemorated at the Amelia Coal Mine Project (ACMP) through a week-long series of events held from 22 to 28 April 2026. The celebration was envisioned not only as a tribute to the enduring legacy of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in nation-building, but also as an occasion to rekindle a sense of pride, purpose, and collective participation among the workforce at ACMP.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Shri Rajeev Govil, Chief General Manager (Project Head), ACMP, THDCIL, Singrauli.
The week featured three flagship competitions: the PSU Slogan & Punchline Quiz, the Essay Competition, and the Quiz on PSUs. These activities witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and employees across departments, reflecting a strong spirit of engagement and camaraderie. To ensure fairness and objectivity, the essay competition was evaluated by an independent two-member jury.
The celebrations culminated in a formal Closing Ceremony and Prize Distribution, presided over by the Additional General Manager as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, he highlighted the pivotal role of public sector enterprises in shaping post-independence India. Congratulating all participants and winners, he encouraged the workforce to move beyond mere compliance towards commitment, from routine functioning to result-oriented performance, and from responsibility to a deeper sense of ownership.
