Rishikesh, 15-08-2025: THDC India Limited, a distinguished Public Sector Enterprise in the Power Sector, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and national pride at its Corporate Office in Rishikesh, as well as across all its Project sites and Unit offices nationwide. The celebrations reflected the organisation’s commitment to the Nation’s progress, unity, and sustainable growth.
Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman & Managing Director, hoisted the National Flag in the august presence of Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), at THDCIL Corporate Office, Rishikesh.
Addressing the gathering, Sh. R. K. Vishnoi highlighted that the organisation has achieved significant milestones, notably the commissioning of the first unit of the 1320 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Project and two units of the 1000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Plant, India’s first Variable Speed PSP. He stated that these accomplishments mark a defining phase in THDCIL’s growth story, reinforcing its role as a key contributor to the Nation’s energy security.
Sh. Vishnoi further stated that the organisation is poised to achieve greater success in the coming months with the completion of remaining units at both the 2x660 MW Khurja STPP and the 4x250 MW Tehri PSP.
Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), also conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to all employees and their families on the occasion and urged everyone to continue working with unity, integrity, and innovation to achieve the shared vision of a developed and self-reliant India.
At Tehri Project, THDCIL, Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance), hoisted the National Flag, inspiring the project team to uphold the highest standards of excellence and contribute meaningfully to the Nation’s progress.
