• Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the 1200 MW Kalai-II Hydro Electric Project in the Anjaw District of Arunachal Pradesh was signed between GoAR (Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh) and THDCIL in Dec-2023.
• THDCIL has signed an MOU with Department of Energy, Govt. of Maharashtra (GoM) on 03.09.2024 for harnessing of Pumped Storage Energy through six number of PSPs in Maharashtra, totaling to installed capacity of 6790 MW.
• THDCIL has also signed MoU with MAHAGENCO Renewable Energy Limited (MREL), Maharashtra on 26.09.2024 for development of New Age Renewable Energy projects like Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia, Battery Energy Storage System, Hybrid Solar, Solar, Floating Solar, Wind & Off shore Wind and Self-identified PSPs.
• THDCIL signed MoUs with Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) and Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) on 09.11.2023. for various Ground mounted, Roof top and Floating Solar PV Plant, PSP, Hybrid.
• THDCIL has signed the MoU on 10.03.2025 with Govt. of Chhattisgarh & Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Ltd. (CSPGCL) Pumped Storage Based Hydro Electric Power Project 1400 MW at Dangari, District-Jashpur in Chhattisgarh state in JV mode.
• A Joint Venture (JV) Company named ‘TUSCO Ltd.’ between THDCIL and UPNEDA (a unit/agency of Govt. of U.P) was incorporated in Sep’2020 for development of 2000 MW Ultra Mega Solar Power Parks in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Accordingly, development work of 600 MW Solar Power Park each in Distt. Jhansi & Distt. Lalitpur and 800 MW Solar Park in Distt Chitrakoot have been taken up as SPPD.
• A Joint Venture (JV) Company named ‘TREDCO Rajasthan Ltd.’ between THDCIL and ‘RRECL’ (Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited) has also been incorporated in Mar’2023 for development of 10,000 MW Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Parks in the Rajasthan state. Land identification / acquisition is in progress.
• A Joint Venture (JV) Company named ‘TUECO Ltd.’ (‘THDCIL-UJVNL ENERGY COMPANY LIMITED’) has been incorporated in Dec’2023 to harness the untapped potential of Hydro Power Projects in Uttarakhand. DPR preparation of Mori Hanol HEP and D/s Hanol-Tuni HEP as an integrated project is in progress.
• THDCIL is also in process of implementing a Pilot Project for Carbon capture of 20 TPD capacity at Khurja STPP (2x660MW) with a cost-effective Carbon capture technology.
