Under the Vigilance Awareness Campaign-2025, THDC India Limited, Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP) organized a special awareness program at Village Birhi, District Chamoli, on 01 September 2025. The program was held on the occasion of the Annual Meeting of the Birhi Ganga Cluster Association, Dasholi Block, wherein important information on contemporary issues such as corruption prevention and cyber security was shared with the local villagers.
The meeting was attended by about 70 members (both men and women) representing 25 villages of Dasholi Block. During the program, officers from the Vigilance Department explained, through simple and practical examples, the importance of public participation in preventing corruption. They also elaborated on effective precautions and measures to safeguard against the growing menace of cybercrimes in today’s digital era.
The local community highly appreciated the efforts of the Vigilance Department and actively participated by asking questions on various topics. The officers addressed all queries satisfactorily and urged the villagers not only to remain vigilant themselves but also to spread awareness in their surroundings.
Shri Manoj Kumar Pandey, Additional General Manager (Electrical & Communication), Shri Kamal Nautiyal, Deputy General Manager (Vigilance), and Shri Sumit Tamta, Senior Manager (Vigilance) were prominently present during the program.
This initiative of the Vigilance Department, VPHEP, is a significant step towards strengthening the spirit of transparency and integrity in rural areas and is expected to yield positive results in the times to come.
