THDC India Limited celebrated National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at its Corporate Office, Rishikesh, along with all its project and unit offices across the country. The day marks the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, who played a pivotal role in unifying the nation.
On this occasion, Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDC India Limited, highlighted that the day serves as a reminder of Sardar Patel’s vision of a united and strong India, and inspires every citizen to contribute towards maintaining the unity, integrity, and security of the nation. With its diverse workforce and nationwide presence, THDCIL continues to contribute towards nation-building by fostering a culture of harmony, responsibility, and collective progress, true to the ideals envisioned by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
To commemorate the occasion, a pledge-taking ceremony was organized at the Corporate Office and all project/unit offices of THDCIL to reaffirm employees’ commitment to national unity and integrity. The National Unity Pledge was administered by Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance) to all the employees.
While addressing the gathering, Sh. Garg emphasized that National Unity Day provides an opportunity for all to rededicate themselves to the ideals of harmony and collective strength, which are the cornerstone of our nation’s progress. He added that unity in diversity has always been India’s defining strength, and THDCIL continues to embody this spirit through its inclusive and collaborative work culture.
To mark the occasion, a “Run for Unity” was also organized at the THDC Rishikesh township, spreading the message of national integration and solidarity.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was also observed at Tehri Power Project, NCR Office, Kaushambi, VPHEP and Dehradun Office to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. A pledge for national unity and integrity was administered to all the employees by ED (I/c) at NCR Office, Sh. M. K. Singh, CGM (Tehri Complex) at Tehri and Sh. P. S. Rawat, GM (Power House) at VPHEP, reaffirming collective commitment towards strengthening national unity.
