The HR&A Department of THDC India Limited (VPHEP Unit) organized an Inter-Departmental Indoor & Outdoor Sports Tournament for its employees, fostering camaraderie, teamwork, and a spirit of healthy competition. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees across various departments, highlighting their dedication not just to work but also to fitness and sportsmanship.
Volleyball Tournament (20 January 2025)
The sports extravaganza kicked off with a Volleyball Tournament on 20 January 2025. Four teams—Gandhi Sadan, Maharana Pratap Sadan, Tagore Sadan, and Subhash Chandra Bose Sadan—competed in an electrifying series of matches. After several closely contested games, Maharana Pratap Sadan emerged as the champion, while Gandhi Sadan secured the runner-up position.
The tournament showcased the participants' exceptional skills, teamwork, and sportsmanlike conduct, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and unity that THDCIL values.
Carrom Tournament (21 January 2025)
On 21 January 2025, the focus shifted to indoor games with the Carrom Tournament. A total of 35 employees competed in singles and doubles categories, demonstrating strategic thinking and precision.
• In the singles category, Sh. Naresh Joshi (Junior Engineer, Mechanical) claimed victory with his outstanding performance.
• In the doubles category, the duo of Sh. Ajay Rana (Junior Engineer, UPL) and Sh. Hayat Singh (Junior Engineer, UPL) emerged as winners, showcasing excellent coordination and skill.
Promoting Team Spirit and Wellness
Head of the Project, Sh. Ajay Verma appreciated this initiative of HR&A Deptt. And extended their congratulations to all participants for their enthusiasm and efforts.
