Dr. Ashish Kumar Goel has been appointed on the Board of THDC India Limited with effect from April 24, 2026. He is presently serving as ACS Energy & Additional Energy Source Dept, GoUP and he also serves on Board of different State PSUs like U.P.P.C.L, UPPTCL, UPSLDC, UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited. He brings extensive experience in public administration, infrastructure development, and governance.
He has previously served as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development and Director General, National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency, overseeing key flagship schemes. Over his distinguished career, he has held several senior positions, including Secretary (Rural Development), Government of Uttar Pradesh, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, and Divisional Commissioner, Prayagraj.
Dr. Goel holds a B.Tech from IIT Delhi, M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics, and an M.Sc. in Public Management from the London School of Economics.
He is a recipient of the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration (2020) and has earned multiple recognitions, including Guinness World Records, for his contributions to large-scale public initiatives, notably the successful organization of Kumbh Mela 2019.
