As part of its continued commitment towards environmental awareness and sustainable practices, THDC India Limited (THDCIL), NCR Office, Kaushambi, organized a “Trash to Treasure” event at THDCIL NCR Office, Kaushambi. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of SKV, Ghazipur, who showcased their creativity and innovation by preparing useful products from waste materials. Around 35 students participated in the programme.
The event commenced with a welcome address, followed by a two-hour competition session wherein students demonstrated their creativity by converting waste materials into innovative and eco-friendly products. The initiative aimed to promote awareness regarding waste management, recycling, cleanliness, and sustainability among young minds.
As part of the programme, an awareness session was also conducted wherein students delivered presentations and actively shared ideas emphasizing the importance of cleanliness, recycling, and environmental sustainability.
The products prepared by the students were evaluated by the judges, Sh. G. Radhakrishnan, AGM (Finance) and Sh.Mallikarjun Udaygiri, DGM (New PSP), for selection of the top three entries. Snacks, participation mementos, and prizes for the winners were distributed to encourage and appreciate the students’ efforts and creativity.
The items created by the students were also displayed as an exhibition for employees of THDCIL NCR Office and received commendable appreciation from all. The event served as a valuable learning platform for the students and reinforced the message of environmental responsibility, resource conservation, and sustainable living.
