Pipalkoti, March 10, 2025 – The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) unit, deployed for the security of THDC India Limited’s Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP), celebrated its 59th Raising Day with great enthusiasm at the CISF camp in Pipalkoti. The event was graced by Sh. J.S. Bisht, General Manager (Mechanical, Social & Environment), as the Chief Guest.
The program commenced with an impressive Guard of Honour presented by CISF personnel, showcasing their discipline and commitment to duty. Sh. Vishwanath Avuti, Deputy Commandant, CISF, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the significance of the CISF Raising Day and the vital role of the force in safeguarding the nation’s key industrial, economic, and strategic establishments. He elaborated on how CISF has evolved into a multi-dimensional force ensuring the security of critical infrastructures, including ports, airports, and metros, and safeguarding the movement of nearly one crore people daily.
Addressing the gathering, Sh. J.S. Bisht extended his best wishes to the CISF personnel and their families. He commended the unwavering commitment, discipline, and dedication of the CISF in securing national assets, emphasizing that their efforts significantly contribute to the country's industrial growth and development. He acknowledged their relentless service and sacrifices in ensuring safety and security in sensitive installations across the country.
As part of the celebrations, the CISF personnel performed one-minute drills, a cultural program, and a weapon demonstration, exhibiting their operational preparedness and professional excellence. The program concluded with a tree plantation drive led by the Chief Guest in the newly developed ground, reinforcing the commitment towards environmental conservation. The event culminated with a traditional Bada Khana (community feast) organized at the CISF camp, fostering camaraderie and unity among the personnel.
