On February 10, 2025, the Safety Department of THDC India Limited organized a special safety awareness training program for employees at the 444 MW Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP), Pipalkoti. The primary objective of this program was to educate employees on emergency preparedness, fire safety, first aid, and disaster management.
During the session, hands-on training on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was conducted by THDC’s Senior Medical Officer, Dr. Nandita Sharma. Additionally, officials from the District Fire Department, Gopeshwar, provided in-depth guidance on fire safety measures and emergency response strategies.
Addressing the employees, Project Head, Sh. Ajay Verma (Chief General Manager, VPHEP) emphasized the importance of safety training. He urged all employees working at the project site to strictly adhere to safety protocols and remain vigilant at all times.
The training session was attended by Sh. K.P. Singh (General Manager, TBM), Sh. B.S. Pundir (Additional General Manager, Planning & Safety), Sh. Pankaj Bhatt (Safety Officer), and Inspector Sh. S.P. Bhatt from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), along with other officials. The session was successfully conducted by Sh. P.N. Mamgai (Deputy Manager, Safety).
THDC India Limited regularly organizes such safety awareness programs to train employees and ensure a safe working environment at the project site.
