THDC India Limited (THDCIL), Pipalkoti, received a special award for its exhibition stall in the government stall category at the Band Vikas, Industrial & Farmer Fair held in Pipalkoti, Chamoli district, from December 20 to 26, 2024. The award was presented during the closing ceremony by Shri Devendra Singh Negi, President of Bund Vikas Organization, Pipalkoti, and Shri Harish Purohit, General Secretary. On behalf of THDCIL, the award was accepted by Shri Y.S. Chauhan (Manager, Public Relations) and Shri Avinash Kumar (Assistant Manager, Public Relations).
The exhibition stall, organized by THDCIL's Public Relations and Human Resources & Administration departments, showcased various aspects of the Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP) through creative displays, including flex posters, videos, pamphlets, and other informational materials. It highlighted the socio-economic development initiatives and works being carried out in the project-affected areas.
Officers present at the stall addressed queries from visitors and provided detailed information about the benefits of VPHEP. This interaction played a crucial role in enhancing public awareness and trust in the project.
Shri Ajay Verma, Chief General Manager and HoP, VPHEP, congratulated the Public Relations team on this achievement. He remarked, “Band Vikas Mela is a prestigious cultural, social, and industrial event in Chamoli district. THDCIL’s annual participation underscores our engagement with the local community. This recognition reflects the community's positive perception of the project and acknowledges our socio-economic efforts.”
