  • 2014-Civil & HM and EM Works of VPHEP (444 MW) awarded.
  • 2013- Forest land for VPHEP diverted in Dec-13. Tehri HPP reduced the catastrophe of Kedarnath Flood and saved holy towns of Rishikesh and Haridwar.
  • 2012- Koteshwar Power Plant (400MW) became fully operational.
  • 2011- Two units of Koteshwar HEP Commissioned. THDC Institute of Hydro Power Engineering and Technology, established at Bhagirathi Puram, Tehri Garhwal.
  • 2010-Schedule- A status granted to THDC India Ltd.
  • 2009- THDCIL conferred with “Mini Ratna Category-I” status in Oct-09. Name of the Corporation changed to THDC India Ltd.
  • 2008- Investment approval of 444 MW VPHEP accorded by Govt. of India.
  • 2007- Commercial Generation from Unit-I and Unit-II of Tehri Stage-I started.
