76th Independence Day celebrated at THDC India Limited Rishikesh- 16.08.2022: THDC India Limited celebrated 76th Independence Day at the Corporate office, Rishikesh, Projects and Unit offices on 15th August, 2022. Sh. Rajeev Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director hoisted the National Flag and addressed all the employees during the occasion. Sh. Vishnoi while addressing the employees stressed on the importance of Independence Day and paid his tribute to the freedom fighters and martyrs during the occasion. CMD, THDCIL also underlined the role played by THDC in the nation’s development in the power sector. He said that after India attained Independence in 1947, India’s Power Generation capacity was only 1362 MW and now this capacity has increased up to 4,00,000 MW which is 1,85,000 MW more than our demand. In addition, he also talked about the integrated grid and Energy Conservation (Amendment) Bill, 2022. During the occasion, while addressing the employees he also stressed upon the importance and role of each and every employee in the development of nation’s power sector and also encouraged everyone for their full cooperation and contribution in time. On this occasion, Sh. Veer Singh, CGM (HRA), Sh. Atul Jain, CGM (Design), Sh. A. B. Goel, CGM (Finance) and other officials were present.
