Shri K.S. Sundaram, Director (Projects), NTPC Ltd. has been appointed as Nominee Director, NTPC on the Board of THDC India Limited w.e.f. 24.10.2024. An experienced leader in power sector projects, he oversees NTPC’s Thermal, Hydro, Nuclear, and Renewable Energy projects, including engineering, corporate contracts, and materials, as well as R&D and IT verticals. A graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, and a PGDM holder from MDI Gurgaon in Strategy & Finance, he joined NTPC as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1988. With over 35 years in the power sector, Shri Sundaram has led the commissioning of key projects, including NTPC's first supercritical power plant, and has played a crucial role in both greenfield and brownfield developments across India. He has held strategic roles within NTPC’s corporate and site functions, driving the company’s growth and sustainability initiatives across its energy portfolio.
