As part of the ongoing Special Campaign 4.0, initiated from October 2 to October 31, 2024, focused on "Institutionalizing Swachhata & Minimum Pendency in Government Offices," THDC India Limited’s VPHEP Unit organized a biodegradable bag distribution program. The campaign is aligned with the government’s broader Swachh Bharat mission, which aims to promote cleanliness and reduce the use of single-use plastics.
The program, led by Sh. V.D. Bhatt, Senior Manager (HR&A), involved the distribution of biodegradable bags to Safaikarmis (cleaning staff), local villagers, and vendors from the surrounding areas. Through this initiative, recipients were educated on the harmful impact of single-use plastics, such as polythene bags, and encouraged to adopt biodegradable products in their daily lives.
Sh. Y.S. Chauhan (Manager, PR), Sh. Abhishek Singh Tomar (Asst. Manager, HR), Sh. Sandeep Kumar (Asst. Manager, HR), Sh. Ahmad Reza (Asst. Manager, HR), and Sh. D.S. Makhloga (Officer, HR) were also present at the event.
The biodegradable bag distribution is a part of THDCIL’s continued efforts to support sustainable and environmentally friendly practices, contributing to the overall well-being of the community and the environment.
