1. Environment Impact Assessment:

  1. THDCIL in consultation with M/s WAPCOS India Ltd had prepared the EIA report inline with ToR accorded by MoEF&CC. On the recommendation of the World Bank the same was further value added by M/s CES in year 2009 in the form of Consolidated EIA report.

As per advice of MoEF&CC, THDCIL had applied for accordance of fresh EC beyond the 21.08.2020 i.e. 13 years from the date of previous EC as there is no provision exist in the EIA notification 2006 for further extension (10+3) regarding validity of EC. Based on the Terms of Reference (ToR) conveyed by the MoEF&CC; THDCIL in consultation with M/s WAPCOS India Ltd had documented the REIA report based on the one season data.

2.  Environment Management Plan:

  1. EMP was prepared in consultation with M/s WAPCOS India Ltd. and further value added by M/s CES in year 2009 incorporating suitable mitigation plans and strategies being followed on the project site w.r.t to impacts likely to be occurred as identified in the EIA report.

  2. EMP was again updated by THDCIL in consultation with M/s WAPCOS India Ltd. incorporating suitable mitigation plans and strategies being followed on the project site w.r.t to impacts likely to be occurred as identified in the EIA report.
