TUSCO Limited and UPNEDA signed an Advisory Mandate with IFC Rishikesh-21.02.2022: TUSCO Limited, a Joint Venture Company of THDC India Limited (THDCIL) and Uttar Pradesh New The Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) signed an advisory mandate on 21st February 2022 with International Finance Corporation (IFC). IFC is a member of the World Bank Group and will support TUSCO Limited in the development of 600 MW solar power parks in the Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The advisory agreement was signed by Sh. Rajeev Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDCIL Chairman, TUSCO Limited, and Ms. Wendy Jo Werner, Country Manager, IFC India. The advisory mandate was signed in the presence of Sh. J. Behera, Director(Finance), THDCIL, Sh. Bhawani Singh Khangarot, Director(UPNEDA) and Sh. Shailendra Singh, CEO TUSCO Limited. It is to mention that the solar parks will be set up under the Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park (UMREPP) Scheme of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. The development of these solar parks will contribute towards the Government of India’s clean energy program to achieve 450 GW of renewable energy by 2030. Today, THDCIL is one of the premier power generators in the country with an installed capacity of 1587 MW with the commissioning of Tehri Dam HPP (1000MW), Koteshwar HEP (400MW) in Uttarakhand, Wind Power Projects of 50MW at Patan 63MW at Dwarka in Gujarat, 24MW Dhukwan Small Hydro Project, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and 50 MW Solar Power Project at Kasaragod, Kerala to its credit.
