19.02.2020- Rishikesh: Tehri Dam Project has been conferred with "CBIP award for Best Performing Utility in Hydro Power Sector" by CBIP (Central Board for Irrigation and Power). Hon’ble MoS (Water Resources), Govt. of India Sh. R.L. Kataria gave away the award to Sh. D. V. Singh, CMD, THDCIL. Sh. R.K.Vishnoi, Director (Technical) along with Sh. Muhar Mani, ED Sh. U.C.Kannaujia, GM-NCR and Sh. Sajeev.R, GM (O&M), Tehri were also present in a glittering award ceremony held at SCOPE Convention Centre New Delhi. Today, THDCIL is one of the premier power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1513 MW with commissioning of Tehri Dam & HPP (1000MW), Koteshwar HEP (400MW) and Wind Power Projects of 50MW at Patan & 63MW at Dwarka in Gujarat to its credit.
