Rishikesh- 8.03.2022:THDC India Limited (THDCIL) in collaboration with office of Deputy CLC (C), Dehradun organized one-day awareness and sensitization program on the theme “Workers’ Rights and Employers’ Responsibilities under labour Laws” at THDCIL, Rishikesh. Sh. Sushil Kumar, Dy. Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Dehradun was the chief guest and the keynote speaker of the program . The program was organized to celebrate ongoing iconic week of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” from 07th March to 13th March 2022. Sh. Sushil Kumar, Dy. Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) Sh. Veer Singh,GM (HR) and Sh. P. K. Nathani, GM, (SE) inaugurated the programme. Sh. Kshitij Sharma, Asstt. Labour Commissioner (Central) also sensitized the employees regarding variousreforms in labour laws. Mohd. Ozair, Regional Labour Commissioner (C) and Sh.Jugendra Singh, Labour Enforcement Officer (C)were also present in the sensitization programme. The aim of the programme was to aware and sensitize the target audience on the rights and responsibilities of workmen and employers under various labour laws. During this programme around 150 employees of THDCIL, AIIMS-Rishikesh, BRO, RVNL and HNGPL participated in the programme. Today, THDCIL is one of the premier power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1587 MW with commissioning of Tehri Dam HPP (1000MW), Koteshwar HEP (400MW) in Uttarakhand, Wind Power Projects of 50MW at Patan 63MW at Dwarka in Gujarat, 24MW Dhukwan Small Hydro Project, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and 50 MW Solar Power Project at Kasaragod, Kerala to its credit.
