Rishikesh, 29 October 2024: THDC India Limited, a leading Public Sector Enterprise in India’s Energy Sector, commenced Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 on 28th October 2024, at its Corporate Office in Rishikesh along with all the projects and unit offices. Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman & Managing Director, inaugurated the Vigilance Awareness Week at Ganga Bhawan, Rishikesh by administering the Integrity pledge to all the employees of the Corporation in the gracious presence of Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical) and Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance) THDCIL.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Vishnoi informed that this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from October 28 to November 3, 2024 under the theme, “सत्यनिष्ठा की संस्कृति से राष्ट्र की समृद्धि” (Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity). He also emphasized the significance of integrity and accountability in the workplace. He stated, “This week is a reminder for us to reflect on our commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in our professional lives.”
During this significant event, Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman & Managing Director, along with esteemed directors, including Director (Personnel), Director (Technical) and Director (Finance), also unveiled two publications viz., the Vigilance Booklet 2024, designed to enhance awareness and adherence to vigilance practices among employees, and the Booklet Containing Systemic Improvement Circulars Issued by Vigilance from 2018 to 2024, which outlines sustained corrective measures and advancements within the system. These resources underscore THDC India Limited's unwavering commitment to integrity and transparency in all its operations.
Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), highlighted that Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated to honour the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in our actions to cultivate a positive workplace culture. He further urged employees to uphold integrity in every aspect of their professional conduct, thereby reinforcing vigilance as a core organizational value.
Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical), underscored the importance of continuous improvement in processes and standards to enhance THDCIL’s contributions to India’s energy sector. He mentioned that vigilance is not merely a practice but a foundational element of the organization’s operations and its service to the nation.
Sh. Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance), noted the critical role of vigilance in promoting an environment of financial transparency and accountability within THDCIL. He emphasized that a vigilant workforce is essential for ensuring that the organization adheres to its financial commitments and responsibilities.
This year’s Vigilance Awareness Week, observed from October 28 to November 3, 2024, will feature a series of engaging activities aimed at promoting the values of vigilance and integrity. The week will include competitions like Slogan Competition on the theme “सतर्क भारत, उन्नत भारत” (Vigilant India, Progressive India), Essay Competition centered on the theme “सत्यनिष्ठा की संस्कृति से राष्ट्र की समृद्धि” (Prosperity of the Nation through a Culture of Integrity), Speech Competition focusing on the topic “सत्यनिष्ठा से आत्मनिर्भरता” (Self-Reliance through Integrity) to encourage active participation from THDCIL’s workforce.
