THDCIL has signed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd. (KSEB) on 11th August, 2022 for THDCIL’s maiden Solar Power Project of 50 MW at Kasargod Distt., Kerala.
With the addition of this 50 MW capacity of Solar Project, Solar project is also added to the portfolio of THDCIL. With this commissioning the total operational capacity of THDC India Limited becomes 1587 MW.
The Power Purchase Agreement was signed by Shri Sanjay Singhal, General Manager (PSP/Solar) on behalf of THDCIL & Sh. Prem Kumar P.K., Chief Engineer (Commercial & Tariff) on behalf of KSEBL at KSEBL’s Head Office at Thiruvanathapuram.
The Project got commissioned on 31.12.2020 and Petition for approval of PPA with KSEB was submitted to Kerala State Electricity Regulatory Commission (KSERC). After few hearings, Commission on 14.07.2022 issued order for sigining of PPA on the approved Levellized Tariff of Rs. 3.10 per unit.
This Power Purchase Agreement will remain in force for a period of 25 Years w.e.f. 31.12.2020 i.e. Commercial Operation Date of Project at a Levellized Tariff of Rs. 3.10 per unit.
