The work of Turbine Generator and associated packages of the project was awarded to BHEL on 03rd Oct’2019 and is progressing at a satisfactory pace on multiple fronts. The TG Deck unit#1 was casted on 29th Jan’22. Subsequently, the preparatory works for erection of Turbine Generator were taken up. 2nd stage concreting, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity test on the casted concrete and deshuttering etc. was completed in due course of time. Condenser erection was also taken up on 25th March’2022; same is under erection. The Turbine Generator (TG) erection was scheduled to be commenced on 26th May’2022. In the process, essential availability of EOT crane in Main Power House building was delayed and there were strong apprehensions for delay in the commencement of TG erection also. EOT crane is now expected to be available by end of June 2022. However, contingency arrangement was sought out and we have commenced the Turbine Generator erection on 25th May 2022 using an exclusive 250MT capacity crane to meet out the major Mile Stone of Khurja STPP. The project team has placed one more cap in its feather by achieving this milestone in time.
