1999- Instructions were issued by Chief Secy. GOUP to Commissioner (Garhwal) for shifting of Govt. Offices/Institution from Old Tehri Town to newly constructed New Tehri Town for Urban resettlement.
1997-Award of Contract for Main Dam of Tehri HPP and works commenced. Award of Contract of Tehri HPP Power House, Electro-Mechanical Equipment &Control Systems.
1996- Civil construction work of Tehri HPP Power House started. Tehri HPP Spilways stripping work awarded and works commenced.
