1994- Govt. of India accorded Investment approval for Tehri HPP. Power House civil works contract for 3 packages awarded.

1991- Foundation seat of Tehri HPP Main dam raised upto EL.+615 (15m above river bed level)

1990- MoEF accorded Environment Clearance to entire Tehri Hydro Power Complex. River Bhagirathi diverted through right bank diversion tunnels. Foundation seat of upstream Coffer Dam Tehri HPP 1000MW raised upto EL 615.0 (15m above river bed level).

1989- Project works transferred by Govt. of UP to THDC Ltd.
