On the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day, HR&A Department of VPHEP, THDCIL, organized a vibrant sports tournament for its employees, culminating in an awards ceremony on August 15, 2024. The event featured various competitions, including Shot Put, Table Tennis, and Musical Chair, with enthusiastic participation from employees across different departments.
The tournament aimed to foster a spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the employees, celebrating not just the nation’s freedom but also the unity and teamwork within the organization. The winners were honored during the Independence Day event, making the celebration even more memorable.
Shot Put (Female)
• Winner: Smt. Neelam Semwal (Social Department, UPNL) with a distance of 7.20 meters.
Shot Put (Male)
• Winner: Naveen Matiyal (E&C, UPNL) with a distance of 11.50 meters.
Table Tennis
• Singles Winner: Saurabh Chauhan (Engineer, S&E Department)
• Doubles Winners: Mukesh Kumar (Environment) & Saurabh Chauhan (Engineer, S&E Department)
Musical Chair
• Winner: Shailja Pant (CO, UPNL)
