Rishikesh, 22 March, 2017: THDC India Limited (THDCIL) paid Interim Dividend of Rs. 104.98 Crore to Govt. of India and Rs. 36.91 Crore to Govt. of UP on account of its financial performance during F.Y. 2016-17.
Sh. D.V. Singh, CMD, THDCIL handed over the Pay Order of Rs. 104.98 Crore to Sh. Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble MoS(IC), Power, Coal, NRE & Mines, Govt. of India on 21.03.2017 (in the late hours) at Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, Delhi.
Sh. P.K. Pujari, Secretary (Power), GoI, Ms. Archana Agarwal, Jt. Secy.(Hydro), MOP and Sh. Shidhar Patra, Director(Finance), THDCIL were also present on this occasion along with other senior officials of MOP & THDCIL.
Apart from above Sh. D.V. Singh handed over the interim dividend of Rs. 36.91Crore to Sh. Sanjay Agarwal, Principal Secretary (Energy), Govt. of UP and Chairman Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, (UPPCL) at Lucknow on 22.03.2017. Sh. Sridhar Patra, D(F), THDCIL was also present on this occasion along with other senior officials of GOUP & THDCIL. It is to mention that THDC India Limited (THDCIL) is a joint venture of Govt. of India & Govt. of UP. The Equity is shared in ratio of 75:25 between GoI and GoUP.
THDCIL is one of the premier hydro power generators in the country with installed capacity of 1450 MW with commissioning of Tehri Dam & HPP (1000MW), Koteshwar HEP (400MW) and 50MW Wind Power Project at Patan Gujarat to its credit and is bestowed with ‘Mini Ratna’ Category –I & Schedule ‘A’ Status. Total Generation of 4460MU is expected in 2016-17 upto 31.03.2017.
