THDCIL organized Uttarakhand State Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation at Rishikesh

THDC India Limited (THDCIL), Nodal Agency to organize Painting Competition for Uttarakhand, successfully organized Uttarakhand State Level Painting Competition on Energy Conservation under National Campaign on Energy Conservation -2016 of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. State Level selected Students were bifurcated in two categories for this Competition.  In category - A 50 students of Class 4, 5 & 6 and in category-B 50 students Class 7, 8 & 9 participated in this competition.

Dr. Surendra Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, Uttarakhand was the chief guest of the ceremony.  Sh. Vijay Goel, GM(P&A/CC), THDCIL honored Dr. Kumar by presenting the Shall & Bouque. The winners in the each category were rewarded with Rs. 20,000/- as First Prize, Rs. 15,000/- as Second Prize & Rs. 10,000/- as Third Prize & 10 consolation prize of Rs. 5000/- each respectively.  All 100 participating students were given memento and certificate by Sh. Vijay Goel, GM(P&A/CC), Sh. H.L. Bharaj, GM (Services), Sh. Ajay Mathur, GM(Commercial) & Sh. J. Behera, GM(Finanace) of THDCIL. Sh. Veer Singh, DGM(P&A)/Nodal Officer presented the Report on Painting Competition.

1.    Riya Kasnia, Class-06, Aacharyakulam, Haridwar

2.    Neha Mehta, Class-06, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Haldwani Cantt. Nainital

3.    Devashish Dabral, Class-06, Aacharyakulam, Haridwar

Category – B = (Class 7,8,9)

1.    Sachin Kumar, Class - 09, DPS-BHEL Haridwar

2.    Manshi Kasyap, Class-09, Sri Gurunanak Balika Inter College, Rudrapur

3.    Vijay Rajput, Class-08, Bal Bharti Sr. Secondary School, BHEL, Haridwar

It is to mention that THDC India Limited, as nodal agency, organizing  State Level Painting Competition in Uttarakhand Schools since 2005. In this year 2016 about 2,95,768 students of 3,654 schools participated in the State level competition.  Out of them.  Total 100 students participated in this competition. The First, Second & Third prize winning will represent Uttarakhand State in the National Level Painting Competition at Delhi on 12.12.2016.
